New builds don't leave much room for error. Everything has to come together - the siding, the roofline, the trim - and the garage door is one of the most visible pieces of that puzzle. Get it wrong and it sticks out. Get it right and the whole front of the home just clicks.
That's exactly what we were after here. The home has a sharp mix of board-and-batten siding, shaker-style accents, and dark trim details throughout. We needed a door that could hold its own against all of that without looking out of place. The carriage-style doors with upper window panels hit that mark - clean, structured, and proportional to the size of the openings.
On new construction, it's not just about looks either. The door has to be set and balanced properly from day one. Sloppy installation on a brand-new home means problems down the road - binding, uneven wear, opener strain. We make sure the mechanical side is dialed in just as much as the visual side.
This is the kind of work we do regularly alongside builders and homeowners going through the new construction process. Whether it's a single-car setup or a wider multi-bay configuration like this one, the goal is always the same: a finish that looks intentional and a door that works the way it should from the very first use.
