Bold Black Garage Doors Built for a Mountain Home

This one was a genuinely fun install. Bangerter Homes brought us in on this mountain new construction build, and the brief was simple - bold, clean, and built to last. Black garage doors against white board-and-batten siding with stone accents at the base. The kind of combination that just works.

When a builder trusts you with a home like this, the details matter. We're talking about doors that need to look sharp from the street but also hold up against the kind of weather you get in the mountains - cold winters, heavy snow loads, temperature swings that put cheap hardware to the test fast. That's not the place to cut corners on a garage door installation.

What we love about this job is how well the doors fit the overall design language of the home. Nothing feels tacked on. The black panel doors tie directly into the black roofline, the black trim, the dark accents throughout. It reads as intentional - because it was.

Three doors total across the two garage bays, each one installed clean and level. The newer construction also gave us ideal conditions to get the framing right from the start, which always makes a difference in how a door operates long-term. Good installation on the front end means fewer headaches down the road for the homeowner.
